Sirichuk Makes a Flush

Level 16 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

The action folded to Rodrigo Sirichuk who was the shortest stack with 110,000 chips. Sirichuk pushed all in on the button and Daewoong Song looked him up from the big blind.

Rodrigo Sirichuk: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Daewoong Song: {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The flop came {q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Song took the lead with a pair of queens as he was searching for a bounty ticket. However, the {2-Spades} on the turn gave Sirichuk a flush and ensured him of a key double-up.

Watson and Livschitz Bounced Before the Money

Level 16 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

The action folded to Pedro Garagnani in the small blind who raised to 190,000. Mike Watson announced all in for just over 220,000 in the big blind and Garagnani called.

Mike Watson: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Pedro Garagnani: {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

Despite Watson holding a large preflop advantage, the flop of {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} left him drawing to just one out. The {a-Hearts} and {2-Clubs} runout eliminated Watson and gave Garagnani another bounty ticket.

At the other table, Victoria Livschitz got the last of her 117,000 chips in the middle with {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and was called by Bruno Volkmann with {q-Spades}{j-Spades}. The board ran out {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} to give Volkmann a straight and eliminate Livschitz just short of the money bubble.

While many of the 10 remaining players went on their 15-minute break, there were a few who opted to use their earned bounty ticket to reach into the treasure chest. Juan Pardo slowly pulled his ticket out of the envelope and was enlightened to find one of the top prizes of £50,000 inside. There is still one more top prize left in the treasure chest with 12 more bounties to be claimed throughout the evening.

Rodrigo Sirichuk moved all in for 205,000 in the cutoff and Juan Pardo called on the button.

Rodrigo Sirichuk: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Juan Pardo: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop left Sirichuk needing help, and although the {j-Hearts} turn changed nothing, the {10-Clubs} spiked the river to improve Sirichuk to a straight, keeping his tournament life alive.

Song and Wakil Keep the Double-Up Streak Going

Level 17 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Many players are finding themselves around the 10 big blind mark and Daewoong Song was one of them. He shoved all in for 230,000 and was called by Rodrigo Sirichuk in the big blind.

Song tabled {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} which was in a favorable position against the {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} of Sirichuk. The board ran out {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Song improved his position with a double-up.

On the next hand, Bruno Volkmann opened to 40,000 and Jamil Wakil three-bet to 255,000, leaving himself with just 5,000 chips behind which was soon committed after Volkmann announced all in.

The two players were flipped with Wakil holding {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Volkmann showing {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. The flop of {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} put Volkmann in the lead as Wakil rose from his seat. The {6-Clubs} on the turn changed nothing but the {j-Spades} on the river was one of the two outs Wakil needed to stay alive.
