Hrabec Lucky to Double

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Roman Hrabec moved all in for 870,000 from the hijack. He was called by Ian Gascoigne on the button.

Roman Hrabec: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Ian Gascoigne: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Hrabec was completely dominated for his tournament life but the flop was in his favour as it came {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} to give him a set. The turn was the {9-Clubs} and the river the {a-Hearts} which secured Hrabec the double/

Hellmuth Raises Turn

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Martin Hellmuth
Martin Hellmuth

Martin Hellmuth opened the cutoff and Roman Hrabec defended the big blind.

The dealer spread the {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and Hrabec check-called for 175,000.

The {2-Hearts} landed on the turn and Hrabec led for 175,000. Hellmuth announced "raise" and tossed in a raise to 550,000, leaving Hrabec to deliberate.

"Why did you lead the turn?" Hellmuth asked. "Flush draw? King-queen of hearts or something like that?"

After some more time to think it over, Hrabec sent his cards into the muck.

"I knew it!" Hellmuth exclaimed. "Now we're playing."

Stefan Ianuszewicz Eliminated in 9th Place (£23,050)

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Stefan Ianuszewicz

Pedro Gois Neves raised to 240,000 from the cutoff before Stefan Ianuszewicz moved all in from the big blind for 1,075,000. Neves snap called.

Stefan Ianuszewicz: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Pedro Gois Neves: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

It was a classic race for Ianuszewicz's tournament life but it was bad news when the flop came {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts} putting Neves way out in front. Ianuszewicz needed a ten to survive. However it didn't come as the turn came the {3-Clubs} and the river the {9-Spades} to eliminate Ianuszewicz in ninth place
