Janiev Wins Piles With Ducks

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Eldiyar Janiev limped from early position off a big stack. On his left, Amatore Terrafino raised to 8,000. Action folded all the way back to Janiev who made the call.

The flop brought {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Janiev checked and Terrafino continued for 15,000. Janiev called.

The turn came the {q-Diamonds}. Janiev checked again, Terrafino bet 35,000. After some thought, Janiev moved all in for about 120,000 effective. Terrafino considered his options for about 30 seconds before announcing "I call," and flipping his cards over fervently.

Amatore Terrafino: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Eldiyar Janiev: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Janiev flopped bottom set and Terrafino couldn't get away from his overpair. The river {7-Clubs} changed nothing, and the big stack of Terrafino was shipped Janiev's way.

Truong Gets Ricci to Commit Drawing Dead

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action picked up on the turn in a heads-up pot with about 40,000 in the middle. The board showed {2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} with about 40,000 in the middle.

Sammy Truong moved all in from the big blind. He covered Andrea Ricci, his opponent under the gun, who had about 30,000 remaining. Ricci thought for a while before making the call.

Andrea Ricci: {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Sammy Truong: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Truong had Ricci drawing dead, so the {9-Spades} on the river was no help and Truong took down the pot.

Nader Makes Quads for the First Time in Ten Years

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

After Alfred Nader had opened from middle position, Sondre Bjornebekk three-bet to 20,000 from the cutoff. Back on Nader, he made the call.

The flop came out {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Nader checked in flow. Bjornebekk moved all in, Nader being the effective stack with about 44,000 behind. Nader called immediately.

Alfred Nader: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Sondre Bjornebekk: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The over pair's bad shape got worse on the {10-Clubs} turn that gave Nader quads.

"Bingo," yelled Nader, as he locked up the pot. "That's the first quads I've made in ten years," he said.

Piroddi Gets Back to Starting Stack

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Amatore Terrafino opened to 3,000 from early position. He saw Vivian Im call from the cutoff and Phachara Wongwichit call from the small blind. Then, Federico Piroddi moved all in for 11,200 from the big blind.

Terrafino made the call, but both field callers folded their hands.

Federico Piroddi: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Amatore Terrafino: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Off the race, Federico Piroddi took a commanding lead on the {9-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop. The {6-Hearts}{3-Spades} runout ended the story and Piroddi was back in business.

Panko Four-Bets to Victory

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Adrian Maciej Panko opened for 3,000 from early position. Action folded to Ihor Kaliahin in the cutoff who three-bet to 9,000. Back on Panko, he moved all in for 39,800.

Kaliahin thought for a while, the bet represented a large portion of her stack. She counted out the chips, seems almost ready to commit them, but then put them back on her stack and folded reluctantly.
