Obara Snaps Off D'Alterio

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, Jun Obara bet 140,000 out of the big blind and Luigi D'Alterio called in the cutoff. Both checked the {q-Spades} on the turn and the {2-Diamonds} fell on the river. Obara bet 90,000 and D'Alterio then announced a bet worth 550,000.

The dealer verified the amount for a second time and Obara snap-called within one second. D'Alterio tabled the {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a bluff with the nut flush blocker while Obara won the pot with the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for the top pair.

"That's what we call a snap call," Parker Talbot remarked and Obara smiled while responding "jack of diamonds".
