Obara Missteps With Incorrect Hero Call

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Parker Talbot {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} opened to 120,00 from early position. Jun Obara {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} made the call, as did Luigi D'Alterio {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} in the big blind.

The flop showed up {2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. D'Alterio and Talbot both checked, and Obara bet 160,000. D'Alterio called with his middle pair, and Talbot made the fold.

The turn showed up the {6-Diamonds}, and the action was checked through.

The river gave D'Alterio two pair when the {7-Spades} fell. D'Alterio led for a healthy 580,000. On Obara, he went into the tank with ace high. After about 45 seconds, he made a hero call that was no good, and D'Alterio scooped the pot.
