The first Single-Day High Roller of the PokerStars and Barcelona Casino European Poker Tour (EPT) festival is about to kick off as Event #16: €25,000 NL Hold’em I begins today at 12:30 p.m. local time.

This event was last won by Juan Pardo in 2019, who topped a field of 70 entries to take home the biggest share of the €1,680,700 prize pool, knocking out seven of the eight finalists to claim the top prize of €491,600.

All players in the €25,000 Single-Day High Roller I receive 100,000 in chips and the levels last 30 minutes each throughout the entire tournament. There will be a 15-minute break after the first four levels and then will switch to after every three levels with a 75- minute dinner break after level 10. Unlimited re-entries are allowed during the first ten levels and the late registration will close at the start of level 11 at approximately 6:45 p.m. local time.

The event will feature a 30-second shot clock and participants receive additional time bank extensions based on when they enter the fray. Players receive 8-time bank cards before play, 7 cards on level 1, 6 cards on levels 2 & 3, 5 cards on levels 4 & 5, and 4 cards on level 6 & higher.

The PokerNews team will be on the floor to provide as many key hands as possible until a winner has been crowned. Further marquee events during the entire festival are also covered such as the ongoing €1,100 Estrellas Poker Tour Main Event and the upcoming €5,300 EPT Main Event.
