Jacobson Eliminated, New Chip Leader Emerges

Level 26 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Action was caught as Martin Jacobson was all in for around 300,000 against Jeferson Pinow.

Martin Jacobson: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Jeferson Pinow: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Although Jacobson was in phenomenal shape to double up, the flop came {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} to put the Brazilian out in front.

The {3-Hearts} arrived on the turn and Jacobson would need a non-heart king in order to stay alive.

The {k-Hearts} completed the board and Jacobson was eliminated as his pair of kings were beaten by Pinow's flush.

Meanwhile, over on Table 3, Anthony Miles has quickly become the new chip leader of the tournament and is currently on about 4,000,000.

Germaine Victorious over Shahade

Level 26 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jen Shahade and Jack Germaine got it all in preflop for a 2,000,000 pot with Germaine at risk.

Jack Germaine: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Jen Shahade: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

It was a big flip, and the board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} which meant Germaine's pocket sixes held for a huge double-up.
This rocketed Germaine's chip stack to over 2,000,000 while Shahade was left with a little over 900,000.

Ironically, the exact same flip happened at the next table, but with a different outcome.

Wilf Gets Full Double with Aces

Level 26 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action was caught when there was around 500,000 in the pot on a {3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Spades} and Saar Wilf shoved his last 290,000 from early position.

Tamer Kamel went deep into the tank, taking around two minutes before finally calling off.

Wilf tabled {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Kamel was forced to show his {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Tsang Isolates with Min-Raise on Turn, Gets Fully Paid on River

Level 26 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Three-way action was caught with around 250,000 chips in the middle on a {4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board.

Merjin van Rooij put in a bet of 125,000 from middle position and Tamer Kamel called from the cutoff. Anson Tsang then put in a min-raise of 250,000 from the big blind, leaving himself with just 255,000 chips behind.

Van Rooij, who only had 375,000 behind himself, went into the tank for nearly two minutes before finding the fold. Kamel would make the call.

The river brought the {q-Clubs} and Tsang took about a minute before committing the last of his chips. Kamel quickly called and showed {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Tsang turned over {7-Hearts}{6-Spades} and took down a massive pot worth around 1,385,000.

Miles Shoves into the Nuts,

Level 25 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Johannes van Bemmel
Johannes van Bemmel

On a completed board of {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, Anthony Miles shoved all in, covering his opponent, Johannes van Bemmel.

Van Bemmel wasted no time and slammed his calling chips into the middle, and MIles sheepishly flipped over his {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of sixes while Van Bemmel slapped down his {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for a turned nut straight.

Van Bemmel was shipped the pot and is now sitting at 1,300,000 while Miles was left hovering around 1,000,000.

Jacobson Stays Alive, Hits Flush on River to Double Up

Level 25 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

After taking a huge hit to his stack a couple of hands earlier, Martin Jacobson went all in for his final 260,000 from the button and Cedric Weinberg called from the big blind.

Martin Jacobson: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}
Cedric Weinberg: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Weinberg was completely dominating Jacobson but it was all up for grabs following the {6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Spades} flop, which gave Jacobson both a flush draw and a backdoor straight draw against Weinberg's pair of jacks.

The {k-Diamonds} meant Jacobson needed a spade and a spade alone to stay in the hunt.

The river was the {3-Spades}, doubling him up back to 555,000.

Abussamra Snaps off River Bet

Level 25 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The board on the turn was {5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and both Elias Abussamra and Dalton Hobold decided to check their action and went to the river {a-Hearts}.

Abussamra checked again to Hobold who this time bet out 100,000 and was snap-called by Abussamra.

Hobold turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for top-top on the river but was shown the bad news when Abussamra flipped over {10-Spades}{7-Spades} for a turned two pair to win the pot.
