Simoes Takes Overwhelming Lead

Level 33 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Morten Hvam raised to 500,000 with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Marcelo Simoes three-bet to 2,000,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. The initial raiser from Denmark used a time bank extension and called as they headed to the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop.

Hvam had 5,100,000 behind with his second pair and faced a bet worth 500,000 by Simoes, which he opted to call.

Neither player improved on the {8-Spades} turn and they checked to the {8-Clubs} river. Simoes now bet 2,000,000 and Hvam reluctantly paid it off to drop to a severe short stack.

[Removed:510] Eliminated in 3rd Place (€397,590)

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Marcelo Simoes raised to 400,000 on the button with the {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Morten Hvam called with the {j-Clubs}{6-Spades} in the small blind. [Removed:510] was then all-in for 700,000 with the {a-Hearts} showing and his two opponents called.

The {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop brought a check-call by Hvam for 400,000 and he did so again for 500,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn. After the {9-Hearts} river, both then checked it down.

Trofimov's {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs} were revealed as he bowed out in third place for €397,590. Hvam's flopped two pair were counterfeited and Simoes earned the entire pot.

Both remaining players then requested to see ICM deal numbers and a short break is to follow.

Jaime Cervantes raised to 1,000,000 from under the gun with 1,800,000 behind and Morten Hvam then pushed all-in with the superior stack out of the big blind. Within just two seconds, Cervantes called it off to create the following showdown.

Jaime Cervantes: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Morten Hvam: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

For the third hand in a row, Marcelo Simoes open-jammed and this time Hugo Pingray in the big blind decided to call it off for the 3,275,000 in the big blind.

Hugo Pingray: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Marcelo Simoes: {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Simoes Jams Into Trofimov and Hvam

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

From under the gun, Marcelo Simoes raised to 400,000 with the {j-Hearts}{9-Spades} and [Removed:510] defended the {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} in the big blind. Trofimov opted to bet the {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop for 250,000 but folded when Simoes pushed all-in to abuse the massive chip advantage and ICM pressure.

Simoes then jammed the {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} out of the small blind and Morten Hvam had to fold the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for ICM reasons as one of the bigger stacks.
