Another Move by Soenmez is Not Rewarded

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Marcelo Simoes made it 255,000 to go on the button with {a-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Jaime Cervantes opted to defend the {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop was checked by both players and the {j-Clubs} followed on the turn. Once more, both players checked and they headed to the {6-Diamonds} river.

The action was checked through once more and Cervantes showed some frustration as the pot was shipped to Simoes.

Cervantes limped the small blind with the {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Erkan Soenmez raised the {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to 395,000 for Cervantes to stick around. On a flop of {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Cervantes check-called a bet worth 280,000 and faced another bet worth 490,000 by Soenmez on the {9-Clubs} turn.

The {2-Hearts} river was checked behind by Soenmez, who dropped to the bottom of the leaderboard in the final hand of the level. Upon conclusion of the hand, the six remaining players went on the third 20-minute break of the day.
