Betbese Eliminated by Chetrit

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

The cards of Nicolas Betbese were already in the muck as his shorter stack was pushed to Michael Chetrit. The latter had the best hand with {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} on a board of {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and nearly closed the gap to two bigger stacks right behind him.

Frank Gets Even With Joubert

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Dimitri Joubert paid off a bet worth 3,500 by Christopher Frank on the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades} river and was shown the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for the overpair by the German poker pro. That was good enough to rake in the pot and both players were even in chips after that showdown hand.

Small Showdown Pot for Kitai

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

Following an initial raise by Georgios Vrakas and a call by Davidi Kitai, the duo headed to the {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop on which they invested 1,000 each. They checked the {5-Hearts} turn and the {6-Clubs} river brought no betting action either.

Vrakas tabled the {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the busted nut flush draw, which Kitai had beat holding the {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Both players remain below the starting stack by a notch in the fifth level of the day.

Knutsen Shoves His Short Stack

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

Justin Steinbrenner raised to 1,200 from early position and Kosei Kitano three-bet to 3,500. Stian Knutsen jammed his last 10,400 and Steinbrenner quickly folded.

Kitano went into the tank for a moment and considered his options, but he ultimately tossed his hand in the muck to give Knutsen the pot.

Three Barrels Work for Steinbrenner

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

In a three-bet pot with 5,000 in the middle to the {j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop, Fabrice Fort checked and then opted to call a bet worth 1,500 by Justin Steinbrenner. The {5-Hearts} turn repeated the same action albeit for 5,000 in chips and Fort checked the {8-Spades} river once more.

Steinbrenner now bet 7,000 which represented most of Fort's short stack and no call followed to award the pot to the 2021 EPT Prague semi-finalist.

Mikschik Busts Eventually as Trofimov and Jorstad Chip Up

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

In a battle big blind versus under the gun, table big stack [Removed:510] bet the {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Clubs} river for 11,200. Peter Mikschik had 11,600 behind and called to muck when Trofimov tabled the {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for two pair.

Andrey Andreev and Michael Rudolph then limped and Espen Jorstad raised to 2,100 on the button. Mikschik was forced all-in from the big blind and Andreev as well as Rudolph called. The {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was checked to Jorstad, who bet 2,400 and earned two calls. On the {7-Hearts} turn, they checked to Jorstad again who bet 7,400 and isolated.

Peter Mikschik: {k-Spades}{6-Spades}
Espen Jorstad: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Mikschik was on his way out but spiked the {k-Hearts} on the river.

Trofimov then min-raised the button and Mikschik called with very few chips behind, as did Jules Hamidou in the big blind. The {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop was check-called or 500 by Hamidou as the {10-Diamonds} turn was checked. Hamidou wanted to bet 2,000 on the {a-Clubs} river but made it 6,000 to which Trofimov called with a single chip.

Hamidou mucked to forfeit the pot and then admitted his mishap while Trofimov won the pot without showdown.

Last but not least, Mikschik got it in with a king and Lorenzo Lavis turned an unbeatable flush with the {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} to knock out the German.

Sablone Bad Beats Rauhut

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

Peter Moore was already all-in with a short stack and on a later street, Salvatore Sablone also committed his stack against Thomas Rauhut when they got it in after the {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} turn.

Peter Moore: {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Salvatore Sablone: {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Thomas Rauhut: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The {6-Hearts} river improved Moore and Sablone to a straight and Rauhut was more than stunned. Moore called his shot to make a miracle comeback from 6,500 chips.
