Cardot Takes From Simoes

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Yannick Cardot raised to 80,000 from under the gun and Marcelo Simoes called in the big blind as the duo headed to the {q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop. Simoes checked and subsequently called a bet worth 40,000 by Cardot. They repeated the same action on the {9-Hearts} turn for 150,000 and the {10-Spades} fell on the river.

Simoes checked the third street in a row and Cardot bet 600,000 to win the pot uncontested, as Simoes mulled it over for a while and settled on a fold.

Nevanlinna Jams Successfully

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

On the outer table, Jussi Nevanlinna raised to 80,000 in the cutoff. Alejandro Romero then three-bet to 250,000 only for Nevanlinna to four-bet jam.

Romero immediately sighed and asked "count please". The shove was determined to be for 1,130,000 and Romero eventually let go with the words "crying fold".

"If you had folded, I would have gone all-in," Yannick Cardot in the big blind remarked.

Some table chat broke out and Nevanlinna essentially declared that he used the top of his range in the previous hand.
