Ayehu Loses Some, Then Wins it Back
With about 3,500 in the pot and the board reading 6♣7♦4♣4♠. Remi Parpillon checked from the big blind and Brhanu Kndeneh Ayehu bet 1,000 from the button. Parpillon responded with a check-raise to 4,200 and after some brief consideration Ayehu made the fold. Perpillon showed 10♣5♥ for a semi-bluff as he took down the pot. Ayehu told his opponent he had folded ace-seven before congratulating him on hand.
Action was picked up on the very next hand at the same table, midway through a preflop raising war between Nikita Novikovs from middle position and Ayehu from the cutoff. Novikovs had put in a raise to 6,000 only for Ayehu to raise again to 14,000.
"You really have a hand right after getting bullied?" Novikovs asked his opponent. After about a minute he made the fold and Ayehu revealed A♣A♠ for the best possible hand as he took down a decent pot without having to see a flop.
