Viret Puts Leon to the Test

Sergio Garcia Leon opened to 500 from early position and received calls from Patrick Viret in the hijack and Sergio Alonso in the big blind.
All three players checked the 6♥2♠2♣ flop leading to the J♠ turn. Alonso checked, Leon bet 900, Viret called and Alonso folded.
Leon fired another bet for 2,100 on the J♣ river. This time Viret put in a raise to 8,000. After about one minute of consideration Leon opted to fold and Viret took down a nice pot uncontested.
