Kuscu Gets it in Good

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After a few folds, action made it to Carlos Aoun in the cutoff who raised to 2,400. The next player to act was Hakan Kuscu on the button who took a moment and then three-bet to 7,200.

Aoun went into the tank and was figuring out what to do when it dawned on him to check how much Kuscu had left behind. He stood up and saw that Kuscu only had about 5,000 left after the three-bet. It was only a moment more and Aoun put out enough chips to constitute a raise which put Kuscu all in. He snap called and was at risk.

Hakan Kuscu: KK
Carlos Aoun: 33

The full board ran out QQ777 and although they both rivered a boat it would be Kuscu getting the double and Aoun getting short.

Unfortunately, a few orbits later Aoun would lose a flip and hit the rail.

Khordbin Has Tricky River Decision

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The action folded to Hadi Khordbin in the cutoff who raised to 2,500. He got called in one spot by Oleg Netaliev in the big blind.

The 8103 flop quickly checked through and the dealer burned and turned the 4.

Netaliev opted to take the betting lead and wagered 3,500. Khordbin called on their way to Q river.

After a few moments of thought Netaliev opted to fire one more shell in the form of 9,000 chips. Khordbin took off his sunglasses and examined the board as he attempted to make heads or tails of the situation.

Eventually he slammed in some chips and waited to see what he was up against. Netaliev tabled J7 for a missed gutter before Khordbin tabled K8 for just third pair. Luckily for him, third pair was good enough to scoop the pot.

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Aleksandr Lakhov opened to 2,500 from early position and action then made it to Jörg Schneegass on the button who went into the tank. After a few moments he announced he was all in for about 24,000.

Lakhov mulled over his options and eventually landed on a call and the cards hit their backs with Schneegass all in and at risk.

Jörg Schneegass: 55
Aleksandr Lakhov: AJ

The full board ran out 2Q2K8 and with just a pair of fives Schneegass earned the pure double to reenergize his stack as the middle levels of the day begin.

Just a Cold Deck

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Kerim Riza Alper opened under the gun to 2,200. The next player to act was Dmitriy Zakharov who put in a three-bet to 6,500. It then folded to Serkan Solak in the big blind who sat in the tank for a moment before putting in a cold four-bet of 16,000.

Alper quickly exited the hand and action was back on Zakharov who did some accounting of his chips and then announced he was all in for about 26,000. Solak snap-called and the cards hit their backs with Zakharov at risk.

Dmitriy Zakharov: AK
Serkan Solak: KK

There was little sweat as the flop came K49 giving Solak a set. The Q turn and A river would seal the deal and Solak sent Zakharov to the rail.

The action folded to Danut Chisu on the button who opened to 1,600. The next player to act was Csoti Sebestyen in the small blind who took a moment and then moved all in for about 11,500. Chisu snap called and they were off to a full board with the cards on their backs.
