Mateos Spikes a Set
Level 18
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Sam Greenwood opened to 50,000 from the hijack and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 90,000 from the small blind, leaving a single blue 5,000 chip behind. Greenwood made the call.
The flop came 8♦3♦2♣ and Mateos bet his last 5,000. Greenwood called.
Adrian Mateos: 8♣8♥
Sam Greenwood: A♠3♠
Mateos had the nuts and by the Q♦ turn Greenwood was drawing dead. The 3♣ river gave Mateos a full house to best Greenwood's trip threes and secure a full double up.
