Dato check-called for 125,000 on the 8♦3♣2♥ flop before the 5♠ turn checked through to the 7♠ river. Dato checked once more, prompting Vardanian to fire for 250,000. Dato waited a few moments before raising to 1,075,000.
It appeared Vardanian was caught speeding and he quickly folded.
Aleksandr Faterin and Renat Bohdanov implored Dato to show the bluff but the Italian kept his lips sealed.
