Neves Holds for an Early Double
Level 18
: 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Pedro Neves opened to 16,000 in early position and was called by Igor Pihela a couple of seats over. Herve Mary jammed all in for 39,000 in the cutoff and Neves reshoved all in, forcing out Pihela.
Herve Mary: A♣J♣
Pedro Neves: K♣10♦
The flop came Q♦9♣6♣ and both players picked up draws to go with their live cards. The 6♠ on the turn was a brick and the 10♣ on the river gave Mary a flush to earn the double up.
