In a hand that started just before the break, Evgenii Fidchuk and Fabio Peluso were battling over a 200,000 pot. The board was fanned out 2♦5♦6♥7♥ and Fidchuk added 115,000 more to that via a bet from under the gun. Peluso was on the button and raised all in, covering Fidchuk's stack of roughly 600,000.

Fidchuk tanked until far into the break but eventually made the call.

Fidchuk had a flush draw and two overcards, but only the former was live as Peluso had flopped a set. The river was red, but with the K♦ coming out, Fidchuck was eliminated and scored a five-figure cash with his bounties included. Lipp Chips Up to Over Two Million Before Break

Action was on the flop, which was 8♠6♣4♣. Play checked to Julien Nicolas, who made it 65,000 to go. Murad Akhundov called and Matthias Lipp raised to 260,000. Nicolas folded and Akhundov moved all in.

Lipp glanced across, twiddled his chips, glanced again, then went into the tank. The break started and Akhundov called time. The dealer counted down from 10 seconds and on the final second Lipp made the call.

Akhundov showed 7♦7♣ for pocket sevens with a straight draw. Lipp flipped over A♦A♣ for pocket aces.

The turn came 2♣ and the river was the A♠, giving Lipp trip aces. He scooped a huge pot just before the break, bringing his stack to over 2,000,000 chips.
