Abecassis Leaves with a Message
Level 13
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
There was a raise to 5,000 in early position and Tom-Aksel Bedell three-bet to 14,000 in the cutoff. Maduka Meragal four-bet to 30,500 and Kevin Abecassis five-bet ripped all in for 160,500 in the small blind. The action folded back to Meragal who asked for a count before making the call.
Kevin Abecassis: K♠K♣
Maduka Meragal: A♥K♥
The flop fell A♦7♣3♠ and Abecassis spiked an ace to take a big lead. The J♦ and 4♦ runout was no help for Abecassis who was bounced from the tournament.
"That's not a call," Abecassis said on his way out.
"Ya it is," Meragal piped back.
