Maue Scores Big Double Up
Level 32
: Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Mike Watson opened to 450,000 on the button and Leonard Maue three-bet all in for 6,525,000 in the big blind. Watson asked for a count and then called to put Maue at risk.
Leonard Maue: A♦4♠
Mike Watson: K♦Q♠
There was hardly a sweat as the flop of 5♥3♠2♣ gave Maue a straight. The 9♠ on the turn and the J♥ on the river were insignificant as Maue earned a double-up to narrow the gap on Watson.
