More Bounty Galore Unfolding

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Ren Lin and Andre Marques notched up bounty prizes, the latter of which sent Niklas Astedt to the rail.

The all-in showdowns kept on coming and Guilherme Silva was also among those to bow out. Left with a short stack, he was all-in with the {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Nikita Kuznetsov looked him up with the {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

Ten-high would prevail on the {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} runout as the Russian also collected a bounty chip.

Nikiforov Doubles Through Sitbon

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In a preflop contest, Ilya Nikiforov had the best of it with the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} when he was all-in for 186,000. Julien Sitbon needed plenty of help with the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} to avoid a setback and found some equity on a {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop with a gutshot.

The {9-Spades} turn changed nothing, nor did the {6-Diamonds} on the river for Nikiforov to double.

Wakil Triples, Danchev Denied a Bounty

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jamil Wakil
Jamil Wakil

Jamil Wakil opened to 20,000 in early position and Sirzat Hissou pushed all in for 245,000 on his left. Dimitar Danchev asked for a count from the cutoff before re-shoving all in. The action folded back to Wakil who also called off his stack of 157,000 chips.

Jamil Wakil: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Sirzat Hissou: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Dimitar Danchev: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The flop of {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} looked promising for Wakil to triple up while Danchev was focused on the side pot in order to collect a bounty. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn left Wakil in the driver's seat and the {k-Diamonds} on the river secured him the main pot. However, Hissou spiked a king on the river to win the side pot from Danchev, denying him his bounty chip.

Two Double Ups in Quick Succession

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Down to the final four tables, the action has barely slowed down and the all-in showdowns keep on coming.

Having previously denied a bounty to Dimitar Danchev, Jamil Wakil was now aiming to finish the job with the superior stack while in the big blind.

Dimitar Danchev: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Jamil Wakil: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Ace-high prevailed on the {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Spades} runout as Danchev doubled for 125,000.

Over on table one, Zhi Yi Ning pushed for just 135,000 on the button. Kayhan Mokri rejammed from the small blind to isolate and Julien Sitbon folded out of the big blind.

Zhi Yi Ning: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Kayhan Mokri: {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}

The {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop gave Mokri a pair of deuces while Ning had plenty of outs with the open-ended straight draw and one live card. Nothing changed with the {6-Spades} turn but Ning got there on the {j-Hearts} river to double for 135,000.

Schwecht Gets a Shove Through

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The tournament has reached a sudden dull period with 31 players remaining spread across four tables as the initial bounty madness slowed down. All-in showdowns are now stretched out over minutes instead of moments, and the next one over on table two didn't go all the way.

With 142,000 in the middle to the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades} turn, Tobias Schwecht in the big blind jammed for 149,000. Mehdi Chaoui asked for a count in middle position and then folded with the covering stack.

Andre Marques is the biggest stack on the table and also has two bounty prizes yet to redeem.

Hissou Doubles Through Mulder

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Sirzat Hissou was down to less than 15 big blinds and shoved all in for 141,000 in middle position. Teun Mulder was in the big blind and picked up a hand good enough to call.

Sirzat Hissou: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Teun Mulder: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip and the board of {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} whiffed Mulder completed as he was forced to pass chips across the table.

Malinov Triples; van Hoof on Fumes

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Atanas Malinov was all-in for 72,000 via open shove from an early position and Jorryt van Hoof did so from one seat over for 104,000. Bruno Volkmann in the small blind went all-in over the top to isolate successfully.

Atanas Malinov: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Jorryt van Hoof: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Bruno Volkmann: {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{q-Spades} runout provided three spades as Malinov tripled up in fortunate fashion.

Mokri Can't Shake Garagnani

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Pedro Garagnani raised it up on the button and was called by Zhi Ning in the small blind and Kayhan Mokri in the big blind. The flop came {j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Garagnani continued with a bet of 26,000. Ning folded and Mokri check-raised to 81,000 which Garagnani called.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Mokri counted out a bet of 180,000. Garagnani used a time bank before calling and the {7-Hearts} completed the board. Both players checked and Garagnani turned over {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} to claim the pot.

Mateos and Mokri are Both Winners!

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Adrian Mateos got the last of his 70,000 chips in the middle and was looked up by one of the big stacks at the table in Kayhan Mokri.

Adrian Mateos: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Kayhan Mokri: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Mateos was in a dominating position and it stayed that way on the {a-}{7-}{6-} flop. A {10-} on the turn gave both players straight draws and a {9-} on the river completed Mokri's straight to eliminate Mateos.

Mateos, who earned a bounty earlier on, headed to the treasure chest with Mokri to pull their bounty tickets. Mokri let Mateos draw his envelope first and it happened to be the biggest prize of €75,000. Mokri drew his next and was forced to settle for a €25,000 payday.
