A Big Pot for Helin

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After Antonio Rodriguez lost almost all his chips preflop with AxKx against Joonas Helin's KxKx, he moved all in on the next hand from the big blind. His shove was in response to Alejandro Lococo's raise from under the gun and Joonas Helin's three-bet from the small blind.

Lococo called, then called again when Helin continued with a bet of 30,000 on a 8J2 flop. The 5 came on the turn, and Helin fired a second barrel of 80,000. Lococo made the call once again.

Finally, the Q landed on the river and Helin checked. Lococo checked back, but mucked his cards after Helin showed QQ for a set. "I had tens," said Rodriguez after he was eliminated.

"Where are all your chips?" asked Parker Talbot when he arrived at the table one hand later. "Here" answered Lococo, pointing at Helin's 495,000 chips.

Flutur Uses Maximum Pressure

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Michal Schuh opened in early position and received calls from Tamas Adamszki in the cutoff, Berthold Winz in the small blind, as well as Mircea Flutur in the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of 752, and the action checked to Adamszski who fired out a bet of 12,000. Winz made the call, and Flutur raised 45,000. Both Schuh and Adamszki mucked their hands, but Winz made the call.

When the A fell on the turn, Winz checked once more, and Flutur announced all-in, putting Winz at risk for about 100,000. Winz mucked his hand, adding to Flutur's already massive stack.

Banic Sends Out Bauer Nearing Bubble

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

All of the chips went in the middle before the flop, and it was Erik Bauer at risk for about 29,000 against Ivan Banic.

Erik Bauer: 77
Ivan Banic: AK

It was a classic flip, and the Q43 flop looked promising for Bauer. The 9 turn gave Banic some extra outs with a flush draw, and the A river improved him to a pair of aces to eliminate Bauer.

Helin Continues to Grow his Stack

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Three players saw a flop of 522, and Roberto Corbelli checked before Joonas Helin fired a bet of 10,000. Oliver Heidel was on the button and made the call before Corbelli's cards hit the muck.

When the 3 landed on the turn, Helin continued with aggression, firing 35,000 across the line. This time it was enough to drag the pot as Heidel tossed his cards back to the dealer.

Zaskodny Runs into Apartoglou's Kings

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Kotaro Hosoya opened to 8,000 from the cutoff, then Lukas Zaskodny three-bet all in for a bit more than 60,000 from the small blind. In the big blind, Spiridon Apartoglou asked for the count, then shoved and made Hosoya fold.

Lukas Zaskodny: 55
Spiridon Apartoglou: KK

Zaskodny was on the edge of elimination after the 3Q9 flop, and it was confirmed when Apartoglou hit a set with the K turn. The 5 completed the board, and Zaskodny left the tournament area.

Lococo Gets There for a Moment Against Budin

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Alejandro Lococo opened to 10,000 in the hijack before Daniel Budin jammed 118,000 from the button. The blinds quickly folded and Lococo made the call.

Daniel Budin: AK
Alejandro Lococo: AQ

Budin let out a groan as the dealer spread the Q33 flop, giving Lococo the lead. It didn't last long though as the K hit the turn, and the board completed with the 8 on the river.

"Sorry, I was crying a little bit there," Budin said as he sat back down in his seat.
