Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Waldemar Starostin moved all in from early position for 15,000 and was called by Gary Mamou in the small blind.

Waldemar Starostin: 33

Starostin was ahead, but the 854 flop gave Mamou a pair of fours.

Odman Can't Connect as He's Sent to the Rail

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Three players brewed a pot of 9,700 and the flop read AK7. Michail Simos checked, and Sergio Somma fired a bet of 3,000 across the line before Adam Odman raised to 7,500. The action was back on Simos who moved all-in, forcing Somma to fold while Odman called off his stack of about 13,500.

Adam Odman: Q10
Michail Simos: K7

Odman flopped a straight and flush draw but was unable to connect as the board completed with the 3 turn and 9 river.

Gorodetskiy Trebles Up in Cooler; Knocks Out Golubev, Damages Kassouf

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ilya Gorodetskiy
Ilya Gorodetskiy

Picking up the action on a flop of 4710, Will Kassouf fired out a bet of 9,600. Ilya Gorodetskiy three-bet jammed all-in for 27,000 and Andrey Golubev moved all-in for 32,000.

Kassouf briefly pondered his decision, before muttering "I don't see how I can fold this hand.", and made the call. Kassouf covered both players.

Andrey Golubev: 410
Ilya Gorodetskiy: 86
Will Kassouf: 44

Kassouf was ahead with a set of fours against the two pair of Golubev, and the huge draw of Gorodetskiy.

The Q turn propelled Gorodetskiy into the lead with a flush. Kassouf implored the dealer to pair the board on the river but the 5 changed nothing and sent a significant pot to Gorodetskiy, while sending Golubev to the exit.

Kassouf picked up a 20,000 side pot to slightly reduce the pain of this huge cooler.

Todeschini Eliminated by Grigoryan

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Hrayr Grigoryan opened to 2,600 from under the gun, and he was called by both Akseli Paalanen to his left and Candido Cappiello in the cutoff. However, Daniele Todeschini wanted more, so he raised all-in for his last 9,300 chips from the small blind. Then Grigoryan four-bet to 20,000, and made Paalanen and Cappiello fold.

Daniele Todeschini: K10
Hrayr Grigoryan: AK

Todeschini stood up and wished good luck to the table before an ace on the board of 949A4 confirmed his elimination.

Eljach Spikes the River to Bust Fiorentin

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Omar Eljach
Omar Eljach

Omar Eljach opened to 2,600 first-to-act and was called by Pascal Hocquard from middle position. It was then folded to Enrico Fiorentin in the big blind, who shoved for his last 10,400. Eljach called to put Fiorentin at risk and Hocquard got out of the way.

Enrico Fiorentin: 88
Omar Eljach: 1010

The 9Q8 flop vaulted Fiorentin into the lead with a set and his double up seemed imminent after the A fell on the turn.

It wasn't meant to be, however, as the 10 river provided Eljach with a winning set of tens to eliminate Fiorentin.

Tsui Gets the Better of Big Stack Maliuta

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Mykola Maliuta opened to 2,400 from under the gun. Justin Tsui raised to 6,500 in early position and was called by the Ukrainian.

The 29A flop was checked by Maliuta, who then called a bet of 4,000, as Tsui continued his aggression.

Maliuta checked once more as the 5 landed on the turn. This time, Tsui made it 11,000, which saw him get a fold from his opponent. The Englishman chipped up to well above average stack, while Maliuta still sat on a big stack of 125,000.

Cessy Takes from Wyrzykiewicz

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Laurent Cessy opened to 2,600 from early position, then Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz three-bet to 8,000 from the cutoff. The button and the blinds folded, and Cessy made the call.

On a flop of 4K4, Wyrzykiewicz continued with a bet of 3,700. Cessy check-called, but both players decided to check on the turn 6.

The 6 landed on the river. This time, Cessy led out with a bet of 16,200. Wyrzykiewicz quickly folded and let the pot go in Cessy's direction.
