On a flop of 6♥10♥8♣ Casalnuovo check-called a bet of 17,000 from his opponent.

The turn brought the 8♥ and Casalnuovo again check-called a bet of 30,000 from Karl.

The river brought the A♠ and Casalnuovo checked. Karl moved all in and Casalnuovo quickly called to put himself at risk.

After a middle position open to 17,000, Vladimir Lipnitskii shoved all in for around 130,000 from the small blind. David Tous Rosich in the big blind then reshoved, covering the Russian. The initial raiser got out of the way and action went heads up.

Rosich was still ahead as flop came 5♦J♠8♣. The K♣ on the turn gave Lipnitskii more outs - a ten, queen or ace on the final street would save him his tournament life.

But it wasn't to be, as a 6♣ on the river condemned Lipnitskii to the rail, pocketing €1,940 in the process.

Rivory Busts Van Wonterghem; Takes from Koloszar

Picking the action up on the turn, the short-stacked Sebastian Van Wonterghem was all in for 11,000 and had two opponents, Philippe Rivory and Daniel Koloszar. The side pot had swollen to 68,000 and the board read 9♥Q♠4♥A♣.

Rivory put out a bet of 30,000 and Koloszar called.

On the J♦ river, Rivory moved all in and Koloszar quickly folded. Rivory showed A♦3♥ for top pair which bettered Van Wonterghem's 5♦2♦. The pot pushed Rivory towards the 500,000 mark.
