Newey Doubles Through Gutierrez
Level 20
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Paul Newey shoved for his last 200,000 from the hijack and was called by Elias Gutierrez in the small blind.
Paul Newey: K♥Q♥
Elias Gutierrez: 10♠2♥
Newey was ahead, but the 10♥9♥9♣ flop paired Gutierrez's ten to pull him out in front.
Newey retook the lead after the Q♠ fell on the turn and the 6♦ river changed nothing — awarding Newey a much-needed double up.
