Selides Doubles Up
Level 16
: Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Markkos Ladev opened to 10,000 from the cutoff, but Luke Marsh on the button three-bet to 28,000. Mathieu Selides took his time, and eventually shoved for 71,000 from the big blind. Ladev folded, then Marsh asked for the count and called.
Mathieu Selides: Q♣Q♦
Luke Marsh: A♦8♣
The flop of 7♠6♥5♥ was very bad for Selides, but he dodged bullets on the turn 2♣ and the river 7♥ to double up.
