Calamusa Sends El Asmar to the Rail

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

PokerNews caught the action as Pierre Calamusa, who was under the gun, had Hady El Asmar, on the button, all in and at risk on a flop of 6A5.

Hady El Asmar: A7
Pierre Calamusa: 55

The turn and river landed the 9 and J respectively. Calamusa's set was more than enough to send El Asmar to the rail.

Siemund Back to Start

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Simon Brandstrom raised to 900 from the cutoff before Pieter Siemund put in 2,500 chips from the button. The blinds folded, but Brandstrom made the call.

The Q8Q flop saw Brandstrom check-call a 1,700 continuation-bet from Siemund, while the subsequent 2 turn was checked by both players.

On the 9 river, Brandstrom checked once more and Siemund flicked in a T-5,000 chip for a bet of the same amount.

Brandstrom made a quick call but mucked his cards once he saw the AA that his opponent tabled.

Antoine Labat
Antoine Labat

Rory Jennings opened 800 in the cutoff, and both Antoine Labat on the button and Hady El Asmar in the big blind made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of AK7, and El Asmar checked to Jennings who continued for 1,200. Only Labat called.

Both players proceeded to check it down on the 5 turn and 4 river. Jennings rolled over 33, which was no good as Labat tabled A6.

Three players were looking at a flop of 5A9.

Olivier Paris, in the small blind, checked the action to Ladislao Dalfo Batlle, in early position. Batlle bet out 1,300, Tiziano Di Romualdo called to his direct left, as did Paris.

The K river saw Paris check again. Batlle bet out 3,000, Di Romualdo called and Paris folded.

The J river saw Batlle fire once more, this time for 4,200, prompting Di Romualdo to fold. As he raked in the pot, Batlle tabled A8.

Kassouf Triples Up in the Lobby

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
William Kassouf

The €3,000 Mystery Bounty is always a popular tournament, and once again enough entries have been made that the overflow tables were filled up in the Hilton lobby.

On one of those tables, Alexandre Landron raised to 1,000 from the hijack and got called by William Kassouf in the cutoff. Agostino Scozzari then made it 3,800 to go from the button and both players came along.

On the 7Q3 flop, the action was checked to Scozzari, who made a bet of 8,000. Landron called before Kassouf shoved all in for 26,600. Scozzari said he put Kassouf on a set, but made the call anyway, and Landron stuck in his stack of 24,800 as well.

Alexandre Landron: AQ
William Kassouf: 33
Agostino Scozzari: KK

Kassouf indeed had a set, and it held as no king appeared on the turn or river.

Landron exited while Kassouf stacked up his three starting stacks.

In a heads-up pot, the completed board read Q5443 and there was about 24,000 in the middle. Him Chan checked before Yulian Bogdanov jammed all-in, having Chan covered.

Chan tanked for about 20 seconds before tossing his cards into the muck.
