Fiore Becomes First Bust Out of the Day

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

Pedro Gines opened to 300 from under the gun before Gaetano Fiore three-bet to 1,200 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and then Gines reraised to 3,300. Fiore thought for a few moments before calling.

Gines continued for 2,100 on the AKJ flop and was called. Gines then slowed down with a check on the 10 turn. Fiore fired out 4,500, sending Gines into the tank. The Spaniard took his time before reaching for his chips, he then steadied himself and continued to mull over his options. Gines finally settled on a raise, making it 13,000, and he snap-called for the 12,600 more he had behind after Fiore three-bet jammed as the slightly bigger stack.

Pedro Gines: QQAll in
Gaetano Fiore: A10

Gines had Broadway, while Fiore's two pair needed to improve to a full house. The K paired the board, but not in the way Fiore required and he was reduced to fumes.

A few hands later, Fiore was all-in and at risk to Matthias Huebl.

Gaetano Fiore: K8All in
Matthias Huebl: AQ

Huebl paired up on the A102 flop and improved to a boat after the Q turn and Q river to secure the first elimination of the day.
