Farias Gets Chips From A Stone

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Ignacio Sanz min-raised to 2,400 from under the gun and Diego Beirigo called from the next seat. Herbert Farias then squeezed to 9,000 before Jacob Stone four-bet to 25,600 from the small blind. Sanz and Beirigo both folded, and Farias shoved. Stone had around 6,000 chips behind and put them all into the pot which left him at risk.

Jacob Stone: AK All in
Herbert Farias: AA

Unfortunate timing for Stone as his Big Slick was a big underdog against the pocket aces of Farias. Despite pairing his king on the KQ7 flop, Stone couldn't improve further as neither the 4 turn nor 3 river could keep his tournament life alive.

Casalnuovo Cracks Top Set to Double

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With two players seeing a board reading 79KJ and about 12,500 in the middle, Domenico Casalnuovo checked from the big blind and Yi Ang Lin bet 14,200 from the cutoff. Casalnuovo shoved for 14,200 and Lin called with a covering stack to put Casalnuovo at risk.

Domenico Casalnuovo: 108 All in
Yi Ang Lin: KK

Lin had flopped the nuts with top set only for Casalnuovo to pull ahead on the turn with the second-nut straight. The board did not pair on the 3 turn after which Casalnuovo dragged in a full double up at Lin's expense.

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The pot already had 15,000 chips in it on the turn with the board reading 93JJ when Giovanni Grosso checked, Tobias Kirby-Hogarty bet 8,500, and Grosso shoved for around 32,000. Kirby-Hogarty snap-called.

Giovanni Grosso: A5 All in
Tobias Kirby-Hogarty: 99

Despite turning the nut flush, Grosso was drawing dead as Kirby-Hogarty had an unbeatable full house. A J came on the river and Grosso got up out of his seat as the pot was pushed to Kirby-Hogarty.

Jalife Makes the Right Call

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With 40,000 chips already in the middle of the table and the board reading 3K84, both Dawid Kasprzyk & Nicholas Jalife checked.

The river brought a 6 and Kasprzyk wasted no time in shoving, which put Jalife to the test for his remaining stack of around 20,000. After some time thinking, Jalife decided to put himself at risk and made the call.

Kasprzyk turned over 32 for a pair of threes, and Jalife showed he had made the right call with 99.

Norden Leaves Ahuja on Fumes

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Alexander Norden opened to 2,500 from under the gun and received calls from Ankit Ahuja in the small blind and Sylvain Mazza in the big blind.

The flop came 779 and action checked around to Norden who fired a 3,000 continuation bet. Ahuja check-raised to 8,000, Mazza got out of the way and Norden made the call.

Ahuja bet 5,000 on the 9 turn and was once again called by Norden. On the 5 river Ahuja shoved for a bit over 20,000 and after taking a couple minutes to weigh his options Norden made the call.

Ahuja could only show 44 for a counterfeited pocket pair turned into a bluff. Norden tabled 88 for two pair, nines and eights and scored a full double up while Ahuja was left with just over a single big blind.
