Tomi Knocks out Kassam
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
With three players seeing a board of A♦Q♥7♥ and 12,300 in the middle, Rehman Kassam checked from the big blind and Christopher Philippou checked from middle position. Jean-Baptiste Tomi bet 6,000 from the cutoff and Kassam shoved for 12,500. Philippou got out of the way while Tomi snap-called with a covering stack to put Kassam at risk.
Rehman Kassam: J♥9♥7♦4♦
Jean-Baptiste Tomi: A♥A♠10♦2♦
Tomi was well ahead with top set and improved to a full house when the rest of the board ran out Q♣2♥. Tomi dragged in a sizable pot while Kassam made his exit from the tournament area.
