Terziani Sets the Trap

Stefano Terziani limped the small blind and called a raise of 240,000 from Jon Kyte in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of K♣Q♣10♥, and Terziani checked to Kyte who jammed all in. Terziani wasted no time calling off his stack of 1,115,000 and both hands were tabled.

Jacob Stone opened 100,000 in the hijack and Marcelo Bonanata called on the button before Maria Konnikova came along in the big blind.

The A♥4♠2♠ flop hit the felt, and Konnikova checked to Stone who continued for 100,000. Bonanata called, and Konnikova check-raised to 350,000. Only Stone stuck around.

The K♥ turn was checked through to see the A♠ pair the board on the river. Konnikova led for 250,000, and Stone quickly called.

Konnikova tabled 5♠4♦ for a pair and a gutshot on the flop, and Stone took down the pot with trip aces as he showed A♦Q♣.
