Deilik Doubles Up on River, Barham Busts

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Henadzi Deilik had pushed all in from the hijack for 97,000. Rami Barham sat in the cutoff and tossed in his own stack of 100,000, after which the rest of the table folded.

Henadzi Deilik: AJ All in
Rami Barham: JJ

Deilik needed an ace to stay in the tournament and he hit one on the final card of the hand as the 7693A board was dealt.

Barham was left with just 3,000, which he lost to Toni Kaukua in the very next hand.

Trips For Taysi

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Action was picked up on the flop of K84 with around 80,000 in the pot. Xiaosheng Zheng bet 41,000 from the small blind and Muhtar Taysi called from the hijack. Zheng then bet 52,000 on the K turn. Taysi called again.

The 5 river completed potential flush draws. Both players checked it back. Zheng showed QQ for two pair but was beaten by Taysi's KJ for trips.

Tomazou Off to a Good Start, Akyun Survives

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ahmet Akyun was all-in for his stack of 35,000 and was put at risk by Andreas Tomazou.

Ahmet Akyun: A9 All in
Andreas Tomazou: A2

Akyun hit trips on the 9K497 board to earn himself more than a double-up, which left him with around eleven big blinds to work with.

Despite that small hit, it's been a great start to Day 2 for Tomazou, who has almost doubled his start-of-day stack and now has well over 800,000 to his name.

Kravets Busts Hadj

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Lavrentiy Ni opened to 18,000 from early position and Mehdi Hadj got his short stack of 14,000 into the middle. Action folded to Semen Kravets in the big blind, who reached for chips and produced a three-bet to 58,000. After some thought, Ni called.

With betting on the side, Kravets led out with a sized up bet of 150,000 on the K54 flop, which forced out Ni.

Mehdi Hadj: A7 All in
Semen Kravets: AA

Hadj was in trouble versus Kravets' rockets, drawing to backdoors, and although the 6 turn gave him some hope, the 10 river was a brick.

Haoyenan Triples Up as Varnaev's Hand Goes From Best to Worst

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Lan Haoyenan
Lan Haoyenan

A three-way all-in pot played out between Sergey Fedyaev, Lan Haoyenan, and Sergei Varnaev with them all getting their stacks in the middle.

Lan Haoyenan: A10 All in
Sergei Varnaev: 1010 All in
Sergey Fedyaev: K10

Fedyaev had both players covered and Haoyenan held the shortest stack with 70,000, meaning he would need to beat both opponents in order to stay alive. Varnaev had the best hand and with 82,000 in his stack, had to effectively win a flip in order to triple up.

However, Varnaev's hand went from best to worst on the AK6 flop, though he did add a flush draw to give himself a chance at survival. The J turn gave each player a gutshot to Broadway, but the 5 river was a brick, which meant Varnaev was eliminated, and Haoyenan tripled up.

Smith Folds Monster, Hasler Shows

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Mark Steven Smith had put in a bet of 100,000 on a flop of 454. Keven Hasler was his opponent, and he put in his stack worth 247,000 in the middle.

Smith spent some time questioning his opponent but received no answers. Eventually, he folded his cards, adamant that he folded ace-four for the third nuts.

Hasler then showed his QQ for an overpair. Smith could only laugh at his mistake as play continued to the next hand.
