Vogelsang Takes From Ponakovs

Level 19 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Around 160,000 was in the middle in a hand between Tom Vogelsang in early position and Aleksejs Ponakovs in the big blind, with the flop reading KQ4.

Ponakovs checked, and Vogelsang fired out a bet of 55,000. Ponakovs pondered the spot, and then reached for chips to produce a check-raise to 190,000. Vogelsang called.

The 3 hit on the turn, and after a period of deliberation, Ponakovs check-folded versus a bet of 110,000 from Vogelsang.

Vladimir Korzinin made it 95,000 to go in early position. Yulian Bogdanov called on the button, Alexander Zubov did so in the small blind, and Santhosh Suvarna defended his big blind.

The action checked to Korzinin on the 7410 flop, and he made a very small bet of 50,000. Zubov was the only caller as Bogdanov and Suvarna got out of the way.

Korzinin sized up slightly on the 9 turn. He put in 75,000, which was again check-called by Zubov. Both players then checked through the K river.

Zubov tabled 88 for a pair of eights, but Korzinin won the pot with K9 for two pair.

Level 19 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In the final hand of the previous level, Tom Vogelsang put in 50,000 under the gun. Once everyone else had folded, Vladimir Korzinin three-bet to 150,000 in the big blind, which Vogelsang called.

The J49 flop was checked by both, leading to the 3 turn appearing. Korzinin bet another 150,000, receiving a quick fold from Vogelsang.

On the QJ10 flop, action was checked to Bonanata, who fired out a bet of 60,000. Only Suvarna folded.
