Myers Wins Consecutive Pots at Showdown

Daniel Myers just won back-to-back pots at showdown, which boosted his stack to almost 1,500,000.

First, Myers raised from under the gun and got a call from Juan Pardo in the small blind.

They went to a flop of 8♣4♦A♥ where Pardo check-called a bet of 60,000 from Myers, then both checked the 9♣ turn.

A 4♠ dropped on the river and Pardo led out for 160,000, and Myers called. Pardo showed K♥Q♥ for just king-high, and Myers' A♦10♠ took the pot.

In the next hand, Jelle Moene opened from the hijack to 60,000 and Myers defended the big blind.

They both checked the 6♣2♥3♦ flop to the 5♠ turn where Myers led for 85,000, and Moene raised to 185,000. Myers called.

On the 8♣ river, both players checked and Myers showed a straight with K♣4♣ to win the pot.

On the K♣7♥2♠ flop, Li check-called a bet of 40,000 from Cazacu.

The 9♠ turn was checked through. On the 7♠ river, Li check-called a bet of 275,000 from Cazacu.

Li showed A♦A♣ for the slow-played pair of aces, but it was no good versus Cazacu's K♠3♠ for the rivered king-high flush.

With around 200,000 in the pot on a flop of 9♦7♣5♠, Mehdi Chaoui bet 75,000, and Lev Margolin check-raised to 210,000. Stoyan Madanzhiev folded before Chaoui shoved for Margolin's remaining 150,000. Margolin pondered for a few moments before making the call.

Chaoui needed to fade an eight or six to send Margolin to the rail. The 8♥ turn propelled Margolin into the lead with a set, as the 9♥ hit the river to give Margolin the winner with a full house.

On the J♥6♠4♠ flop, Madanzhiev check-called versus a bet of 60,000 from Li.

The 10♣ turn was checked through. On the 3♣ river, Madanzhiev led out with a bet of 55,000, and was faced with a raise to 200,000 from Li.

Madanzhiev thought it through and made the call. Li tabled Q♠7♠ for queen-high, and Madanzhiev had found a good call with K♥4♣ for a pair of fours, for fourth pair.
