Ponakovs Gains Some Momentum

Aleksejs Ponakovs opened from the button to 5,000 and Kamal Gonzalez defended out of the big blind.

When the dealer fanned the 3♣A♥9♣ flop, Gonzalez led for 6,000. Ponakovs called.

Gonzalez slowed down on the 10♦ turn as he checked. Ponakovs bet 12,000 and Gonzalez tossed his cards into the muck.
