"Lucky Misclick" Pays Off for Krasilnikova

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Nina Krasilnikova opened the action from middle position with an unintended raise to 6,400. Her neighbor looked confused, prompting her to clarify that she meant to raise to just 2,000, but with the larger amount already in the pot, it stood. Tamazi Skhirtladze in the hijack made the call.

On the 3J10 flop, Krasilnikova stuck with the aggression, firing a 6,000 bet, and Skhirtladze called again.

When the 8 turn hit, Krasilnikova wasted no time shoving her remaining 15,800 chips. That proved too much for Skhirtladze, who folded, giving her a solid pot.

Later, Krasilnikova joked, calling it a "lucky misclick."

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Around 18,000 was in the middle already on a completed board of 99345, in a hand between Ivan Stankov in the cutoff and Paul Lagan in the big blind.

Lagan checked and Stankov jammed for 9,500. After some thought, Lagan made the call, but was shown the bad news when Stankov tabled JJ for two pair, jacks and nines, which bested Lagan's J3 for two pair, nines and threes.

Wilson Ousts Defending Champ in Double Knockout

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Gonzalo Pro shoved for approximately 20,000 first to act and just behind him, [Removed:553] also went all in for slightly more. It was then folded to Chase Wilson in the big blind, who called to put both players at risk.

Gonzalo Pro: AJAll in
[Removed:553]: 1010All in
Chase Wilson: AQ

The Q84 flop paired Wilson's queen and left both Pro and Simon drawing slim.

The 3 turn nor 6 river changed anything and Wilson sent both players to the rail.

Simon entered and busted yesterday in Day 1a, which means a new champion will be crowned this year.

Jennings Victorious in Four-Way Pot

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jamie Dwan put in a raise to 2,000 under the gun. Vadzim Lipauka called in the seat next to him, as did Rory Jennings in middle position. Krishna Madhariwar was the last player to come along, on the button, and the 4Q9 flop hit the table.

Dwan continued for 4,000, folding out Lipauka. Jennings stuck in a call before Madhariwar also mucked his cards. On the 3 turn, Dwan slowed down and checked. Jennings bet 6,400 and was rewarded with a quick fold from Dwan.

Favia Pips Simion

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A preflop raising war had developed, whereby Bogdan Simion on the button raised to 11,000 over a 4,500 bet by Francesco Favia in the cutoff. After some thought, Favia made the call.

On the 10107 flop, Favia check-called versus a bet of 7,000 from Simion.

The same pattern was followed on the 10 turn, this time in respect of a 5,600 bet from Simion.

The 5 river was checked through. Favia showed QQ for the full house, much to the frustration of Simion, who showed JJ for the lower full house.
