Piotr Wiecek opened to 1,600 from the cutoff and was three-bet to 6,200 by Ignas Jasinevicius in the big blind. Wiecek called.

Both players checked on the 2♦4♠10♠ flop and then Jasinevicius check-called a 1,900 bet from Wiecek on the 8♠ turn.

Jasinevicius checked a final time on the Q♦ river and Wiecek fired 11,800 into the middle. Jasinevicius laid his hand down and Wiecek collected the pot without showing.

Harald Sammer raised to 1,600 in early position. His neighbor Ruslan Zainullin threw in a three-bet to 4,200, which Sammer called once it had folded around to him.

Sammer check-called a bet of 3,500 from Zainullin on the 4♠A♦K♣ flop before both checked the 4♣ turn.

Sammer took the initiative on the 8♦ river, betting 4,500. Zainullin called quickly but mucked his cards when Sammer tabled A♥10♥ for two pair, aces and fours.

At another table, Artur Martirosian sat down for his first bullet in the Main Event.

Malcolm Franchi opened to 1,700 from early position, and was called by Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz in the cutoff, and Assyl Tleuzhanov and Joe Mouawad in the blinds.

On the 8♦4♠3♥ flop, Franchi continued with a bet of 1,900, which only Wyrzykiewicz called.

The 9♣ hit on the turn, and Franchi changed approach, check-calling a bet of 6,900 from Wyrzykiewicz.

The 10♦ river was checked through by both players. Franchi showed J♥8♥ for a pair of eights, which was sufficient to make Wyrzykiewicz muck his hand.

With around 20,500 in the pot and the board showing 10♥8♥2♦5♠, Dmitry Zakharov checked from the cutoff, prompting Bernhard Binder to bet 7,000. After a brief hesitation, Zakharov made the call.

The river brought the 7♦, and Zakharov checked again. Binder then moved all in for his remaining 13,800. Zakharov tanked for a while, until a player called the clock. Before the floor could announce the countdown, Zakharov made up his mind and called.

Binder revealed Q♠Q♣ for an overpair, while Zakharov turned over 9x9x for a solid pair but not enough to beat Binder, who doubled up.

Miroslav Alilovic opened from early position and Yassin Mahmoud called in the small blind. The two went to a flop of 2♥5♦6♥, where Mahmoud checked to Alilovic.

He made a bet of 1,200, which Mahmoud raised to 6,000. Alilovic spent a while in the tank before jamming all in, prompting Mahmoud to snap-call for 36,800.

The K♠ river completed the board, and Kukhtarev continued to fire, sliding out a bet of 6,200, with Franco making the quick call.

Zholgaliyev proceeded to call bets from Ensan on every street. First for 1,700 on the 6♥6♠J♥ flop, then for 4,800 on the 4♥ turn, and finally for 9,800 on the A♣ river.

Ensan turned over A♠10♥ for aces-up, but Zholgaliyev revealed 9♥8♥ for a turned flush and was awarded the pot.

Buhaiov then tossed in a raise to 4,500. Nasir thought for a while and then made the call. The J♥ turn saw Buhaiov size down to 4,000. Nasir tossed in a quick call to the 9♦ river, which was checked down.

Buhaiov immediately mucked his cards while Nasir tabled A♠10♣ for top pair.
