Imad Derwiche, who was made short in an earlier hand, moved all in for his last 100 from under the gun. Victor Ilyukhin, to his left, raised to 300, receiving calls from the button and both the blinds.

The action checked to Alfonso Simone, in the big blind, who led out for 300 on the K♦Q♦Q♥ flop. Ilyukhin raised to 1,000, the button folded and Aviv Meiri cold called in the small blind. Simone also called.

The 10♠ turn checked through to the 2♣ on the river. Meiri bet out 2,700, Simone folded and Ilyukhin made the call.

Guy Lebreton, who was under the gun, and the player in middle position checked the action to Pasquale Di Ceglie, on the button. Di Ceglie bet out 6,000 and only Lebreton called.

The Q♣ turn saw Lebreton check again. Di Ceglie moved all in for 19,000 and Lebreton snap-called.

Attilia folded but Regazzoni wasted little time in moving his stack into the middle, totaling 37,500. Beresford made the quick call, with Regazzoni at risk.

Regazzoni was ahead in the race and remained so after the J♠4♠9♣ flop.

Picking the action up on a board of 10♦5♠K♠7♦, short-stack Drisse Maouchi was all-in for around 21,000, and had received action from Hicham Hachoumi and Aviv Meiri. 50,000 was in the main pot, with 30,000 in the side pot.

Hachoumi moved all in for around 51,000 and Meiri was deep in the tank.

Meiri repeatedly asked "Do you want a call?" and Hachoumi eventually responded "I don't know your hand."

The clock was called by Maouchi, and just before his time ran out, Meiri slammed in the call.

Hachoumi was in great shape to take the whole pot, his pocket aces ahead of Meiri's pair of kings and Maouchi's pair of tens.

However the J♣ rolled off on the river to give Meiri top two pair, and send both of his opponents packing.

Hachoumi let out a yelp of pain and threw his hands up in disgust at his misfortune, while Meiri repeatedly apologized profusely to his opponent. That was scant consolation for Hachoumi as he headed for the exit.
