Chaves Busts in Cooler
Level 1
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Action was picked up when Jon Vallinas opened the button to 7,500. Pedro Chaves in the small blind reraised to 22,500. The big blind folded and Vallinas made the call.
The 7♦K♣10♣ flop saw a 12,500 continuation bet from Chaves, which Vallinas called. On the J♥ turn, Chaves checked. Vallinas took a moment before betting 15,000. Chaves tanked for a moment before reraising all in for around 65,000. Vallinas called quickly with one card to come.
Pedro Chaves: J♣J♦
Jon Vallinas: A♦Q♦
Chaves needed the board to pair to top Vallinas's Broadway straight, but the 9♦ river sent Chaves to the reentry desk.
