Marius Gierse opened to 6,000 from under the gun and found a call from Vlad Martynenko in the hijack. Pedro Chaves came along in the big blind, with three players seeing the 8♥9♣8♣ flop.
Chaves and Gierse checked to Martynenko, who fired 6,500. Chaves was the only caller to see the J♥ turn.
Both players then checked to the 2♥ river, where Chaves led out for 11,500. Martynenko did not take long to raise enough to put his opponent all in, with Chaves snap-calling.
Martynenko turned over 2♠2♦ for a full house, but it was second best as Chaves showed 9♦8♠ for a superior full house on the flop to double his stack.
