Pedro Gois Neves raised to 120,000 from middle position and Mauricio Sanchez called in the big blind.

The flop came 8♣3♠7♣. Sanchez checked, Neves bet 80,000, then Sanchez check-raised to 225,000, which Neves called.

The turn was the 4♠. Sanchez pushed a stack of black chips into the middle, putting his opponent all in. Neves went into the tank and then made the call.

Sanchez showed K♥8♦ for top pair and Neves flipped over J♠10♠ for a flush draw, gutshot straight draw and overcards. He had all the outs, but the river came the 8♥, giving Sanchez trips to win the pot.

Neves was eliminated from the tournament in sixth place for €258,400.

Action folded to Luca Marki in the cutoff, who opened to 125,000. Sergey Lebedev was on the button, and he produced a three-bet to 500,000, leaving himself around 210,000 behind.

Action folded back to Marki and he quickly moved all in, and Lebedev called it off.

Lebedev was in trouble with a dominated ace, and the Q♥A♥Q♥J♥9♣ runout sent the pot to Marki with aces-up and the better kicker, as Lebedev's paired jack was counterfeited by the queen-paired board.

Kayhan Mokri opened to 125,000 from the button, and was faced with a three-bet to 480,000 by Masashi Oya in the big blind. Mokri called.

On the K♠Q♦6♠ flop, Oya fired out a bet of 350,000. Mokri quickly called.

The 5♦ rolled off on the turn, and after some thought, Oya slid out a bet of 525,000. Mokri again called speedily.

The 5♠ river completed the board, and Oya took his time to count his remaining stack, before putting out a bet of 800,000, leaving himself around 120,000 behind.

Mokri pondered the spot for a moment, before moving all in. Oya sighed loudly and sat back in his chair. He gave it about 30 seconds thought before flicking the remainder of his stack in.

Mokri showed Q♠8♠ for the rivered flush to take the pot, while Oya had Q♥J♠ for second pair queens. Mokri has a big chip advantage heading into three-handed play.

The tournament director also informed the players the clock will now be reduced to 30-minute levels.

Kayhan Mokri raised to 270,000 from the small blind. Luca Marki, in the big blind, three-bet jammed for his effective stack of 2,850,000 and Mokri snap-called.

Marki was in rough shape but the 5♠2♠8♠ reversed their fates. The 6♠ turn had Mokri drawing dead and the J♥ ensured Marki a tournament-shifting double-up.

On the Q♦A♥2♥ flop Marki check-called versus a bet of 150,000 from Mokri. Sanchez check-folded.

The 6♥ turn was checked by both players.

On the 7♥ river, Marki check-called a bet of 425,000 from Mokri. Mokri showed 10♥10♣ for the ten-high one card flush to take the pot, after Marki mucked his hand.

After the hand, Mokri was put under pressure from his opponents to discuss a deal. He agreed to look at the ICM numbers but warned he wanted to play it out and that "you'll have to give me more" to get a deal agreed, stating "I had half the chips in play, then lose ace-king versus ace-five".

Play was paused for a few moments for further deal discussions, but an agreement could not be reached and play continues.

Mokri showed K♦7♣ for king-high, while Sanchez had A♦9♠ for a pair of aces, sending him the pot. In quite the quick turnaround, Mokri has gone from significant chip leader to short stack in short order in three-handed play.
