Wheeler Busts Early

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

About 4,000 was in the middle in a three-way pot when Tiberiu-Onut Panainte fired out a bet of 3,600 from the small blind on 8310 and was called by Jason Wheeler and Anatoly Chen.

On the 5 turn Panainte was not deterred by two callers, sliding forward another bet of 8,600. Wheeler again made the call. Action folded to Chen who looked bemused, pondered his options, but also eventually called.

The 10 rolled off on the river to pair the board and that slowed Panainte down, who checked his option.

Wheeler pondered for a moment before moving the rest of his chips into the middle, around 16,000. Chen folded quickly and Panainte made the quick call.

Wheeler turned over A7 for the ace-high bricked flush draw, the chunky pot being too juicy for Wheeler to check, while Panainte had KK, and the cowboys sent him a monster early pot.

Sellam Caught Bluffing River

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Cosimo De Gennaro opened to 500 in middle position, only to be met with a three-bet of 1,500 from Iulen Lacunza. Thierry Sellam then cold-called in the next seat. De Gennaro also came along for the ride.

On the 863 flop De Gennaro checked and Lacunza put out a bet of 1,600. Sellam made a quick call and De Gennaro folded.

On the 6 turn Lacunza slowed down, check-calling a bet of 2,800 from Sellam.

The J rolled off on the river and Lacunza again checked to his opponent. Sellam didn't think long before shipping in his remaining 11,200 and Lacunza quickly called.

Sellam turned over Q10 for the queen-high bluff while Lacunza had set the trap perfectly for his opponent with QQ for a pair of queens.
