Kings into Aces for De Sousa for Painful Exit
Level 20
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ehsan Amiri opened to 25,000 and was faced with a three-bet to 75,000 by Kim De Sousa. Action folded to Oliver Weis in the small blind, who pondered his options before reaching for chips and producing a cold four-bet to 185,000.
That got Amiri out of the way but De Sousa wasn't going anywhere, pulling the trigger on the five-bet jam for around 500,000. Weis made the quick call, with De Sousa at risk.
Kim De Sousa: K♣K♦
Oliver Weis: A♠A♦
De Sousa had been extremely unlucky to run kings into aces and the J♥5♦4♦8♠Q♦ runout confirmed his departure.
Weis meanwhile moved close to the two million mark.
