Sebastien Guinand raised it up preflop in late position and then called the shove by Liviu Bartha for 69,000 on the button.
Liviu Bartha: 10♥10♣
Sebastien Guinand: J♠J♣
Guinand was ahead but couldn't maintain the lead throughout the K♣5♠4♦10♠6♦ board, as Bartha turned a set to leave his opponent on fumes.
Maciej Gut in the small blind three-bet to 22,500 and Sergiu Covrig called on the button, which led them to the 10♥4♠2♠ flop. The continuation bet by Gut was worth 20,000 for Covrig to call and that brought them to the 3♥ turn.
Gut now made it 75,000 to go and Covrig reluctantly folded.
Cristian David had earned a fortunate split pot not long ago when his dominated ace hit running cards to broadway against Jonathan Therme. Since then, he more than doubled while Therme vanished.
David then looked up the shove by Loic De Doncker with the A♠Q♣, as he jammed over the top to isolate. De Doncker revealed the 10♦9♦ and gained a ton of equity on the Q♦8♦6♥ flop with a gutshot and flush draw.
Yet, there was no happy end on the 8♣ turn and K♠ river runout to eliminate De Doncker.
Level: 14

Hongru Zhang opened to 5,000 from under the gun and was called by Jamil Wakil in middle position and Enzo Enzo on the button. Endrit Geci then shoved for his last 12,000 from the big blind and Zhang also shoved for over 100,000. Wakil called all in for his last 70,000 and Enzo got out of the way.
Endrit Geci: A♥9♠
Jamil Wakil: 10♥10♠
Hongru Zhang: A♣J♦
The 7♣9♣3♠K♥A♠ runout left Geci best with two pair for the triple up. Zhang collected a nice side pot with his pair of aces and Wakil was eliminated.
The Day 1b field has been reduced to a mere 213 contenders and more than half of the hopefuls will still leave empty-handed.
In a preflop all-in contest, Oleh Okhotskyi was ahead with A♣Q♠ and was up against the A♠J♦ of Daniel Custodio.
The Q♥Q♣10♥ flop left Custodio with a mere four outs, none of which he caught with the 5♠ turn and Q♦ river. Okhotskyi further improved to quads to double up in style for 35,500.
Angelo Ruotolo opened to 5,000 from the cutoff and Alexandru Farcasanu shoved for his last 25,000 from the big blind. Ruotolo quickly called to put Farcasanu at risk.
Alexandru Farcasanu: 6♥6♠
Angelo Ruotolo: A♠4♥
Farcasanu was a favorite, but the 5♣A♥J♣Q♦10♣ runout left Ruotolo best with a pair of aces — sending Farcasanu to the rail.
Alexandre Amiel had the very best of it when he looked up a shorter-stacked Miguel Faria Lopes with A♣A♥ versus A♠K♦. There was no upset on the Q♥J♦3♥4♣3♣ runout and Amiel earned the pot.
Another player on the table bemoaned to have folded pocket fours.
