Dvoress Shows Pardo a Set
Level 11
: Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Daniel Dvoress opened to 10,000 on the button and found one caller in Juan Pardo in the big blind.
Both players checked on the 9♣7♣6♠ flop and then Pardo led out for 9,000 on the 2♥ turn. Dvoress called.
The Q♠ completed the board and Pardo bet 9,000 again. Dvoress burned up a time extension before raising to 45,000 and Pardo called after a bit of thought.
Dvoress tabled 9♥9♦ for a set of nines and Pardo sent his hand into the muck.
