Niederreiter Gets Lucky to Double-Up
Level 8
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Fabian Niederreiter raised to 2,100 from the hijack and Michel Dattani three-bet to 5,300 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Niederreiter, who jammed all in for 45,100.
Dattani immediately slammed in a call with the covering stack and a showdown was ordered.
Fabian Niederreiter: 10♠10♦
Michel Dattani: J♠J♦
"That's not good," Niederreiter concluded. However, the 8♠7♦10♣ flop saw him take the lead with top set. He faded Dattani's outs on the subsequent 2♥6♦ runout and doubled up to nearly six figures.
