Ponakovs Beats Jaksland in Showdown
Level 11
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Peter Jaksland has enjoyed a decent stack into Day 2 and increased his stack by more than half already. He then got involved in a hand with Aleksejs Ponakovs that was picked up on the K♥10♥5♣3♠ turn. Jaksland checked and Ponakovs bet 11,000 on the button for the Dane to call.
Both knuckled the felt on the 2♦ river and Jaksland revealed his Q♦J♦ for queen-high and a missed open-ended straight draw. Ponakovs had also missed the board but his A♣Q♠ won the pot.
