Custodio Hero Calls in Huge Pot
Level 13
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Daniel Custodio and Thomas Saminadin were on a completed board of 5♣4♦7♣6♥2♥, with 100,000 chips already gathered in the middle.
Custodio checked from the big blind before Saminadin fired 43,000 from the hijack. Custodio took a few moments to think things through but ultimately tossed in a call.
Saminadin could only show Q♦J♦ for queen-high, while Custodio had called with A♦5♠ for third pair. The chips were shipped to Custodio, who obtained a stack of nearly three times the average.
