Barer and Danchev Pick Up Pots

Ami Barer raised to 21,000 with A♦9♦ and Eliot Hudon stuck around holding the K♦8♣ in the big blind. Hudon made the second pair on Q♥8♠7♠ and check-called for 17,000. He then bet the 5♦ turn for 21,000 and Barer went for a large raise to 140,000 to claim the pot.
Dimitar Danchev opened to 20,000 from under the gun with A♣K♣, which was flatted by Byron Kaverman with the A♠Q♦ in the cutoff. Neither player connected with the 9♦8♥3♥ flop and Danchev checked, as did Kaverman, to see the 4♦ turn for free.
They checked once more to the K♥ river on which Danchev made top pair. He bet 45,000 and Kaverman hero-called with ace-high to lose a small portion of his stack.
