In a duel button versus big blind, Evgeniy Golenko got his shorter stack into the middle with the A♥Q♦ on a 8♦5♦4♦ flop. Maksim Shornikau was in no mood of folding the A♣K♦ and his kicker played once the 5♥ turn and 5♠ river completed the board.
On the tail end of a A♣K♣9♦5♣8♣ board, Barakeh Fadi in the big blind checked and subsequently called a bet worth 11,000 by Andrei Konopelko on the button. Konopelko tabled his A♦Q♣ for the nut flush and won the pot.
Sal Al Fakih opened to 1,100 on the button and was called by Robert Schulz in the small blind. Kalidou Sow then squeezed to 4,500 from the big blind and, undeterred, Al Fakih made it 14,500 to go.
Both Shculz and Kalidou laid their hands down and Al Fakih collected the pot uncontested.
Umberto Ruggeri raised to 1,200 from the cutoff, Vlastimil Pustina three-bet to 3,100 from the button and Yannick Schumacher cold four-bet to 8,800 from the small blind. Ruggeri moved all in for 15,200, Pustina folded and Schumacher made the call.
Umberto Ruggeri: 6♠6♦
Yannick Schumacher: K♠K♣
The board ran out 6♠Q♥8♦5♣J♣; Ruggeri got it in way behind the kings of Schumacher, but hit a set on the flop to double up.
Action was on the flop on a board of 2♦6♥3♥. Gilbert Sicsic moved all in from out of position for 8,500 in a multiway pot against three opponents. Yevhen Dzhura took him up, throwing in a chip to signify the call. Players turned their cards.
Dzhura had A♥9♥ for an ace-high flush draw and Sicsic had A♦K♣ for ace-high with a stronger kicker.
The turn came the A♠ to give both players a pair of aces, and the river came the 2♣. Sicsic's kicker played to give him the pot and he doubled up his stack.
Dominik Nitsche opened to 1,700 in the cutoff and Owen Messere called out of the big blind, which led the duo to the K♠4♦4♣ flop. Messere check-raised from 2,100 to 6,500 and Nitsche called but then folded the J♣ turn once Messere bet 11,000.
"You see how much fun it is when we get to see flops?" Messere joked and then added "next one is yours, though, I am not greedy."
Nitsche raised the very same 1,700 in the next hand to claim the blinds and antes.
Ramesh Caussy opened to 1,000 from the cutoff and was called by Dominik Nitsche on the button and Wagner Ripper in the small blind.
Ripper checked to Caussy on the 10♣8♣5♦ flop and he continued for 2,500. Nitsche folded and Ripper called.
Both players proceeded to check down on the J♦ turn and Q♦ river. Ripper turned over K♦10♠ for tens with a king kicker, but it was no good against Caussy's A♣10♥ for tens with an ace kicker and Caussy was sent the pot.
Humberto Lopes Galindo raised to 1,100 from early position, Olivier Fazio moved all in for his last 1,800 in middle position and Jeremie Tapia cold called in the small blind. Galindo bumped it up to 5,200 and Tapia moved all in. Galindo snap-called.
Olivier Fazio: K♣J♣
Humberto Lopes Galindo: Q♠Q♥
Jeremie Tapia: A♣A♦
The flop brought some action as the window card flashed the A♥, seemingly locking up the hand for Tapia. However, the 9♥Q♣ quickly followed behind also giving Galindo a set and Fazio a straight draw.
The Q♦ turn improved Galindo to quads and the 10♥ river gave Fazio an irrelevant straight. Galindo scooped this massive pot to eliminate Fazio and leave Tapia short.
